Knowing What And When To Delegate-Part 5

God wants you to be a leader who knows what you should be doing and what you should delegate or outsource to. He wants you to improved your skills, your abilities and your methods but don’t forget you are to build your team and help them grow and improve too.  Make a list of everything you are doing that someone else can do. Bring people along beside you and start putting into them to represent you. Then that will free you up to do what only you can do. This changes along the journey as the abilities of those you are leading increases.
God wants you to be a shepherd to the flock He’s given you. To be a shepherd you don’t need a degree, a title, or a position, but you must have a shepherd’s heart. Knowing what to do yourself and when and what to outsource to others can be difficult, but God equips and empowers those He calls!

  3. Hi Brother Jim,
You know, I have been in full-time ministry for ten years now and am just now realizing that I struggle with this delegating/outsourcing thing a lot. I used to think it was because I was serving in a very un-churched culture and in a smaller church without a lot of people to delegate to, but now I think that is an excuse for me trying to keep control. It's easy for me to find things to keep my mind and heart busy within the church walls and forget that God is calling me to equip the people for His work. Thanks for reminding me that I am in need of coaching in this area specifically. I just downloaded the infuse application and am praying now. I have enjoyed seeing the fruit of those who have completed infuse over the last few years and I am thanking God for your ministry.
